Static: [stat-ik] adjective.
1.pertaining to or characterized by a fixed or stationary condition.
2.showing little or no change: a static concept; a static relationship.
Logic: [loj-ik]noun.
1.the science that investigates the principles governing correct or reliable inference.
2.a particular method of reasoning or argumentation: We were unable to follow his logic.
3.convincing forcefulness; inexorable truth or persuasiveness: the irresistible logic of the facts.
In most types of logic design, termed static logic, there is at all times some mechanism to drive the output
either high or low. Static logic has no minimum clock rate—the clock can be paused indefinitely.
While it may seem that doing nothing for long periods of time is not particularly useful, it leads to two
advantages including being able to pause a system at any time makes debugging and testing much easier,
enabling techniques such as single stepping and being able to run a system at extremely low clock rates allows
low-power electronics to run longer on a given battery.
In particular, only static cores -- CPUs designed with fully static CMOS technology -- are usable in space
satellites due to their higher radiation hardness
This is the second full length and so much has changed. The majority of this material was created in 2014 and has been aching for release since. I hope everyone enjoys the foreshadowing of what is to come next.
